About the Product
Gum arabic is the dried exudate harvested from the bark of Acacia senegal trees. It is a natural, water-soluble polysaccharide used as an emulsifier, stabiliser, thickener, and binder across food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and industrial applications. It is approved as food additive E414 in the United Kingdom, European Union, and under Codex Alimentarius standards worldwide.
Sudan produces approximately 80% of the world's Acacia Senegal gum arabic. The climatic conditions of the Sahel belt — the specific combination of rainfall, dry season, and soil type — produce gum with the highest natural purity, viscosity, and optical rotation values. Sudanese-origin material is the benchmark that buyers in the EU, USA, Middle East, and Asia actively seek.
Raw whole tears are the natural dried nodules as they come from the tree — unprocessed, with no additives or treatment. Spray-dried powder is a processed derivative where the gum is dissolved and then spray-dried into a fine powder for easier dissolution and handling. We supply raw whole tears only. This is the base material from which all processed grades are derived.
Our product is supplied to food-grade specification and tested against the parameters defined for E414 / INS 414 (Acacia gum) under Codex Alimentarius and applicable food additive regulations in destination markets. A Certificate of Analysis covering moisture, ash, viscosity, optical rotation, heavy metals, and microbiological count is issued with every shipment.
Acacia senegal gum arabic is wild-harvested from naturally growing trees with no pesticides, fertilisers, or chemical inputs — making it inherently organic in practice. Formal organic certification (NOP / EU Organic) is currently in progress. Please contact us if organic certification is a specific requirement for your procurement.
Ordering & Logistics
Our standard minimum order is 1 metric tonne. For first-time buyers, we are open to discussing a smaller trial order to allow quality verification before committing to full volumes. Please contact us with your requirements.

We supply in 25 kg and 50 kg food-grade polypropylene sacks. Full container loads (FCL) and less-than-container (LCL) groupage shipments are both available. Custom packaging can be discussed for large or ongoing orders.
Certifications & Documentation
Every shipment is accompanied by: a Certificate of Analysis (COA) from an accredited laboratory, a Phytosanitary Certificate issued by Sudanese plant health authorities, a Certificate of Origin, a commercial invoice, and a packing list. Additional documentation can be provided on request.
These certifications are currently in progress. We operate with a documented food safety plan and welcome third-party audits. If your procurement process requires a specific certification before purchase, please contact us and we will advise on our timeline to obtain it.
Halal certification through an internationally recognised certifying body is currently in progress. Acacia senegal gum arabic is inherently plant-derived and contains no animal derivatives or alcohol — it is suitable for Halal-compliant formulations in practice. We will update this page when formal certification is confirmed.
Yes, absolutely. We welcome pre-shipment inspection by a buyer-nominated third-party inspection company (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, or equivalent). This can be arranged at no additional cost to us — please advise when placing your order.
